Digital X-Rays

The images in digital x-rays can be magnified up to 300 times, making them far more accurate and reliable than conventional x-rays. Most importantly, digital x-rays significantly decrease your exposure to radiation.

Intra-Oral Cameras

Small intra-oral cameras allow Dr. Tomlo and his dental team to get a closer look at your teeth and gums. Images are magnified and displayed on the computer monitors right in the treatment room, allowing problems to be viewed and discussed candidly with the patient.

Digital Imaging

Digital photographs are taken at the your Comprehensive Exam appointment, allowing you to view your smile, teeth, and the health of your gums. This provides you with the opportunity to ask about any changes you may want to consider.

Dental Laser

Patients with periodontal (gum) disease can now benefit from the use of lasers for non-surgical periodontal treatment. For years, the only remedy for this disease was scraping off the unhealthy area of your gums. Thankfully, the development of laser dentistry has made it much easier and less painful to remove infected tissue, creating a healthier environment in your mouth and protecting you against future infection.

When used for surgical procedures, dental lasers can also enhance healing and significantly reduce post-treatment sensitivity.

CEREC Machine

The CEREC machine is the first computer-aided system in the world for creating dental restorations. Dr. Tomlo was one of the first dentists in Western North Carolina to have this technology in his office. He now has over 14 years of experience in designing and creating beautiful all-porcelain dental crowns in his office, often in a single visit.
